Supplementary » Accident
Accident insurance is compulsory in Switzerland and protects employees in Switzerland from the economic health consequences of accidents at work and occupational accidents or diseases.
The Accident Insurance Act stipulates that your employer will insure you against accidents if you work at least eight hours a week. In addition, domestic workers, trainees and cleaning staff in private homes must be insured.
In Switzerland, housewives, children, students and pensioners must be insured against accidents as part of the compulsory health insurance .
Employers are legally obliged to take out accident insurance for their employees. Depending on your company's field of activity, Suva or a private insurer is responsible. Note that the compulsory accident insurance only offers limited benefits.
The supplementary accident insurance covers the gaps in the compulsory insurance and offers better compensation in the event of an accident.
Additional accident insurance
In the event of disability as a result of an accident, there is an additional insurance that provides a flat rate based on the selected sum insured. In the event of a disability, further development of the benefit of up to 350% of the subscribed capital is possible with worldwide coverage in private distributions in the event of a hospital stay.
